The basics

What full-service account management covers

Account management is the foundation everything else sits on. It covers the unglamorous operational work that decides whether advertising can succeed at all: getting Brand Registry and Seller or Vendor Central set up correctly, keeping the catalogue accurate, fixing suppressions before they cost you the Buy Box, and making sure listings are optimised rather than simply live.

On Amazon that means account setup, listing copy and attributes, SEO, PPC, launch strategy, reviews and reporting. On TikTok Shop it means shop setup and integration with your existing ecommerce stack, listing optimisation, TikTok Shop Ads, creator and affiliate management, LIVE shopping and the content strategy behind all of it.

Design sits with Toucan Studios rather than with your account manager. Imagery, A+ Content, Brand Store design and video are produced by our in-house creative team and quoted as their own project, briefed and deadlined by the account manager who knows what the listing needs to do.

The reason we run it as one service rather than splitting it up is that these things fail together. Ads can't fix a suppressed listing, great creative can't rescue a broken catalogue, and none of it compounds if nobody owns the account as a whole. From the moment you sign on you have a dedicated account manager who does.

How we help

One named contact, not a shared inbox

A named account manager who knows your brand, your margin structure and your commercial goals, and who is accountable for the account rather than a ticket queue. They coordinate the work; they don't do all of it themselves.

Platform specialists behind that contact

Amazon and TikTok Shop are run by their own specialists, alongside ad traders and Toucan Studios designers. You get one relationship instead of one generalist stretched across two platforms, or two agencies pulling in different directions.

Operations handled before they become problems

Compliance, suppressions, stock and pricing get monitored as routine, which is what stops small catalogue issues turning into lost weeks of sales.

Full transparency on reporting

We report against the goals we agreed, and we tell you what isn't working as readily as what is.

The scope

What's included

Seller or Vendor account setup

We handle Brand Registry, Seller Central and Vendor setup. Our team knows the different protocols and has worked with Amazon for many years.

Listing and Alexa for Shopping optimisation

Titles, bullets, backend fields and structured attributes written for keyword coverage and for Alexa for Shopping, so listings answer the question a shopper actually asks and stay current rather than static.

Search engine optimisation

Competitor analysis, keyword research and Amazon-specific strategy so your products actually appear in the searches that matter.

PPC campaign management

Campaigns built to bring quality traffic to your listings and grow sales, monitored and evaluated against real performance indicators throughout.

Product launch and strategy

Launch promotions, deals and targeted campaigns so new products get the attention they need instead of landing quietly.

Creative from Toucan Studios

Our in-house creative team shoots product and lifestyle photography and builds A+ Content, Brand Stores and video, A/B tested against conversion rather than internal preference. Studios work is scoped and quoted as its own project alongside your management fee.

Customer reviews

Reviews move conversion rate on both marketplaces, so we work to maximise them through compliant, sustainable means.

Analytics and reporting

Your account manager reports on the metrics tied to the goals you actually care about, not a generic dashboard export.

Why it matters

How Account Management fits into a Toucan account

Account Management rarely works in isolation. It's one part of a connected system that includes account management, advertising, measurement and creative. Our team runs it alongside the rest of your account, not as a siloed hand-off.

That's the difference between a media-buying vendor and an agency that's accountable for the commercial outcome.

FAQ

Account Management: your questions answered

What's the difference between Amazon account management and Amazon advertising?

Account management covers the foundations: Seller or Vendor Central setup, catalogue accuracy, listing content, operations, compliance and Buy Box health. Advertising covers the media on top: Sponsored Ads, DSP and the measurement behind them. Advertising cannot fix a suppressed listing or a broken catalogue, which is why we run both as one account rather than two workstreams.

Is creative and design included in account management?

No, creative is scoped and quoted separately from the management fee. Account management covers the operational, listing and advertising work; photography, A+ Content, Brand Store design and video are produced by Toucan Studios, our in-house creative team, and priced against the brief. Your account manager briefs that work and owns the deadline, which is what keeps assets tied to what the listing needs rather than delivered once and left alone.

What's the difference between Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central?

Seller Central (3P) means you sell directly to shoppers, set your own prices and keep control of listings and stock. Vendor Central (1P) means you sell wholesale to Amazon, who then retails your products and controls pricing. The operational work, margin structure and advertising options differ significantly, and our team runs both.

Should we manage Amazon in-house or use an agency?

In-house works when Amazon is a meaningful share of revenue and you can justify specialists in advertising, content and operations, because a single generalist rarely covers all three. An agency makes sense when the channel has outgrown the people running it, when expansion needs market-specific knowledge, or when you want category benchmarks an internal team can't see from inside one account.

Do you need access to our Seller Central account?

Yes, through user permissions on your own account rather than shared credentials. You keep ownership of the account, the data and the Brand Registry throughout, and access can be revoked at any point. We work inside your account, not a copy of it, and never ask you to hand over the login.

Can you take over an account another agency is running?

Yes, and it's a common way we start. Onboarding begins with an audit of what's actually in the account: campaign structure, catalogue health, suppressions, backend fields and the history behind them. Nothing gets rebuilt until we can explain why the current setup exists, because some of it will be deliberate.

Why do Amazon listings get suppressed?

Most commonly for missing or non-compliant content: a title breaching category rules, a main image with text or a non-white background, missing required attributes, or a restricted claim in the copy. Suppression removes the listing from search, so it costs sales silently. Routine monitoring catches it in days rather than at the end of a bad month.
