Amazon introduced geo-targeting within Sponsored Display ads but rolls it back. 

It was noticed that Sponsored Display ads had introduced an enhanced geo-targeting feature for US advertisers, allowing advertisers to specify precise locations for ad delivery such as by City/State/Postcode. This improvement would have elevated targeting accuracy by focusing on relevant customer locations and would have significantly enhanced the benefits of Sponsored Display advertising. 

This proved to be a mistake on Amazon’s part as it was to only be made available for non-endemic accounts. There was lots of positive feedback about this new geo-targeting feature so let’s hope that Amazon rolls it back out for advertisers.
